for waist measurements the smaller number is the smallest size it adjusts too, the bigger number is the waist pulled flat and full extended!(aka 26-32x33 means fully adjusted they can go down to a 26 inch waist and fit up to a 32 inch waist. they also have 33 inch inseam)
